Texas Railroad Commission Cites Atmos Energy for Gas Line Violations

The Texas Railroad Commission has cited Atmos Energy for violations associated with a home explosion in Mesquite, Texas in November 2009. The TRC also found 56 line leaks in the area where the explosion took place. The TRC has also cited Atmos for failing to properly enact emergency procedures, employing inadequate leak reporting procedures, and failing to ensure pipeline employees were properly qualified.
